All Aquatic Plants

Blackwater habitats around the globe mainly contain emergent plant growth - but a few aquarium appropriate plants have adapted to life in tannin stained waters. Our selection of H2O Plants here are a few of our favorites which we've grown over the years in our blackwater, biotope, and botanical method aquariums. We HIGHLY recommend signing up for back-in-stock notifications as we sell out of these quickly. Care should be taken to research how CO2, Light, and Nutrients are absorbed by plants in tinted water - we have a number of blogs on this topic we encourage you to read through!

Build Your Ecosystem

Aquarium botanicals have varying levels of durability, which is predictive of the leafs waxy coating and the seed pods woody composition. All types are equally important to the botanical aquarium as they build different layers of the ecosystem.
