While each botanical we offer is safe for aquarium and bioactive enclosure use, proper prep ensures a smooth transition from the forest floor to the aquatic ecosystem. It helps remove potential surface contaminants, kickstarts waterlogging, and preserves water quality.
Our “Rinse. Boil. Drain & Strain. Soak.” methods are simple: rinse under tap water, boil for 5–10 minutes, drain, and soak in dechlorinated water. That’s it. This process rehydrates the botanicals to help them sink, establishing your ecosystem quicker.

I was a little nervous at first and ordering because I always get a little bit skeptical when things look too good to be true. On the website things always look much better than when they arrive. I only ordered these because they were out of the small. Since I just have a 10G and a 5G, one of these takes up a lot of space, but they are easily crumpled into more manageable pieces. High quality, as expected from BB, and you get quite a few for your money, compared to other placers from which I've ordered. They've definitely made me a loyal customer.
These needles make all the other botanicals look good. They add such fine and beautiful texture to my aquariums. And I love that Betta Botanicals packaging is compostable.

Again got a lot more than I thought, they come in cute little clusters, separate cones, and seeds one of my seeds came already sprouted so I'm gonna try to grow it lol I can't say enough good things about bettabotanicals. I love their products.
